Dropshipping
A retail model where a seller lists products without holding inventory, and a third-party supplier ships directly to the customer on the seller's behalf.
Dropshipping is a model where the seller never physically holds the stock they sell. A customer orders through the seller's shop, and a third-party supplier packs and ships the item directly, often without the seller ever touching the product.
This is meaningfully different from the makers and small shops DistroBay is built for — people who design, make, or personally curate what they sell and who hold or directly source their own stock.
DistroBay isn't a dropshipping tool. It works best when you have the real product or an accurate sample to photograph and describe, so the finished listing reflects what customers will receive.
